It’s a myth that penguins mate for life, but unlike penguins that is totally my plan.

I’m Peggy Thomsen and I am the quilter in this relationship. My husband, Mike, supports my obsession/hobby. I started Penguins Quilting in 2023 while I was still working full-time. Since relocating to Leland, NC and retiring from my corporate career in 2026, I’ve decided to focus my efforts on turning my hobby into an active business.

I have been quilting since 1998 and longarming for both my own personal quilts and a number of charities since 2014. In that time, I have quilted hundreds of quilts on my Handi Quilter Amara with Pro Stitcher.

My commitment is to put the same love and attention into completing your quilts as I do with my own.
