What we offer

Quilting costs:

Quilting is priced per square inch

Edge to Edge

  • Computerized standard edge-to-edge $0.025

  • Computerized dense edge-to-edge $0.030

  • Basting for hand quilters $0.015

Minimum charge edge to edge = $50

Semi-Custom - $.04-.075+**

**Semi-custom = different designs in the blocks, borders or sashing, some ruler work.   Cost per inch depends upon the complexity.  Each quilt will be discussed and I will let you know if it is something I can do. 

Minimum charge custom = $100

 

Binding: 

  • Making binding- $5.00 (you provide the fabric)

Per Linear inch:

  • Attaching to the front by machine - $.10

  • Magic binding - $.15*

  • Attaching to the front by machine & hand stitching to back - $.20

    *Magic binding is machine attached front and back, requires two fabrics where one is a “flange”.

 Threads

I carry a selection of Superior, Glide and Isocord threads to complement your quilt top and back.   There is a per bobbin to cover thread charge.   The weight of thread chosen, size of the quilt and density of quilting will determine the final charge.

  • $2/per bobbin for solid

  • $3/per bobbin for variegated thread

  • Additional charges may apply for color changes and will be included in any estimates.

Examples: a standard density baby quilt usually requires only one bobbin.   A densely quilted throw can take 3 or 4 bobbins.

Batting:

You can either provide your own batting or purchase Quilter Dream battings directly from me.   If you provide your own batting, you must provide at least 6” larger than the dimensions of the quilt (3” all around).

 Pricing will be based upon the loft of the batting selected. 

  • Poly – White or Black

  • 80/20 Blend - White or Natural

  • 100% Cotton

  • Dream Green

  • Bamboo

  • Wool

  • Dream Angel (Flame Retardant)

 Other services:

  • Piecing the back - $10 per seam

  • Creating and attaching label - $10

  • Ironing - $25

  • Repairs - $25/hour*

*   You will be contacted before any repairs are done to discuss time required and for you to determine if you want to take the quilt back and make the repairs yourself.

 

For North Carolina Residents: State and County Sales tax will be added to the total cost of supplies and labor.

 Services that I am not able to provide at this time:

  • Free motion, hand guided quilting

  • Antique quilt repairs or preservation

  • Complex custom quilting (e.g. Judy Neimeyer quilts)
